My name is Helen Davies and I have the honour and privilege of being Lady Captain for 2010, and with the help of my hardworking committee I hope to make it a memorable year. The annual Captains’ Drive In (which included the Club, Lady and Junior Captains) took place on Sunday 21st March in beautiful sunshine following a very enjoyable lunch (with wine which helped to steady my nerves!).

We have an active Ladies Section who compete in EWGA Medals and Stableford Competitions (allied to numerous Club Trophies) on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as well as many Fun Competitions. Friendly matches are played against several local clubs and these are great fun and very much enjoyed by all.We also enter teams for Surrey Knockouts including the Pearson Trophy and other special competitions such as The Mail On Sunday and Daily Mail Foursomes Competitions for those who wish to play more competitive golf. Together with our Guest Day and Captain’s Day we offer a wide variety of games to suit all levels of ability. We also run a very successful ‘LADIES OPEN DAY’ annually, which will be on Thursday 6th May this year.
There is also a thriving Junior Section where there are currently 8 girls competing with the boys.

Ladies are encouraged (with or without partners) to join in the many and varied social events organised at the club. There is a successful Bridge Section and regular Quiz evenings are also held.

We are known for being a friendly club which welcomes golfers of all abilities and we would be happy to hear from you whether you have a formal handicap or not.
