'TREES' the 2010 Beneficiary

Captain-elect Roger Wildig chose the local charity TREES to be the beneficiary of the 2010 Epsom Golf Club Pro-Am Tournament (again generously sponsored by King of Cotton).

Formed over 35 years ago by Epsom Golf Club stalwart Laurie Wills, TREES (The Residents Enjoyment and Entertainment Society) is a small local charity serving handicapped and disabled people within the care community of Epsom & Ewell and neighbouring communities. They now arrange over 100 events every year including farm outings and other places of interest as well as discos, karaokes, magic shows and parties.

We raised a substantial sum towards their excellent work as well as generating some funds for the continuing improvements here at Epsom.

Various sponsorship packages were available and in recognition of the current economic climate, our standard corporate sponsorship package cost was held at last year’s price of £450.

Overnight accomodation is available at the nearby Holiday Inn. Details

Hope to see you in May 2011.

We are very grateful to Hector Gauld for his generous sponsorship of this year’s event through his company King of Cotton as well as the sponsorship also generously provided by Fullers and Waverleys
