FIRST CLUB MATCHES

25th May 1893 Ashley Park Golf Club, Walton on Thames, Surrey. Played at Epsom. Epsom won by 34 holes against 10 holes.Our committee meeting minutes of 9th February 1892 refer to a letter from Mr. A Read of Ashley Park G.C. challenged Epsom G.C. to a match. It was decided to accept the challenge. Ashley Park G.C. was closed before the outbreak of World War One.
