The opening hole at Epsom gives the golfer a gentle start with an open fairway, slightly uphill with trees either side. Once this tee shot has been negotiated a mid-iron shot awaits to a large undulating green where a 3 putt is a common occurrence.

“A good tee shot up the left side of the fairway should leave an approach shot to the left side of the green as it all feeds in from there.”
